At FCA camp, I was able to immerse myself in the word of God, and experience worship like I’ve never experienced before. I realized that it was my own relationship with sin that was holding me back from fully trusting God's love for me.

For the first time, I truly understood the great power of God’s love and how much Jesus’s death meant for the forgiveness of our sin. At camp that night, I accepted Jesus as the Lord and Savior of my life and it’s an experience I will take with me and seek to always share with others."

“Since becoming the sponsor for FCA at Glenn, I have learned quite a bit about myself. I’ve always been proud of the fact that I’m a Christian, I’ve never kept it a secret, I often use it as a jumping off tool for building relationships with my students, and I am thankful it has given me the opportunity to reach out and witness to some students who may have not had the opportunity to truly know God’s love.

But as we continue to venture down this road, and Satan continues to grip these kids tighter and tighter I find myself becoming discouraged and wondering if they are really ever going to know what it means to have a relationship with Christ and to know God’s love.

Then when I attend my FCA meetings, and hear the conversations being held, I remember that this isn’t my battle to face alone, that God has surrounded us with each other to fight this thing together, to love these students, these student-athletes and our peers, together.

God brought us together to do this. At this exact moment in time to do this. To lift each other up when we’re not sure if we can do this. God has called each of us for a purpose, and I am thankful that I get to venture through it with them.”
